Škoda Motorsport – Banner settings
Following text describes how to use new or existing banner settings within localized pages functionality.
ŠKODA Banners
Banner is active visual element embedded into a webpage. It could present specific category or page to which the user is redirected after clicking on the banner. These links lead to specific localized version of the global webpage.
There are more types of banners. Some are automatically chosen based on user's interests (dynamic banners) and represent whole banner category, others can be chosen manually (specific banners) and represent single specific banner.
Data about user's potential interests for preset banner categories are collected as user browses the webpage. When conditions set for a banner are met, that banner/banner category will be eligible for showing. When the user clicks such banner, he will be redirected to localized page corresponding to his IP geolocation and importer settings (see Category links). This ensures more personalized content and better target at users.
