This section is dedicated to videos used in articles so users have a quick way of finding the relevant videos they are interested in.

The TV section can be used in two different ways:

1) As a means to aggregate videos from all articles and lead people back to these articles using a „Read article“ button next to each video. We will be calling this the „Articles TV“

2) As a video section where you just want to list interesting videos or promote the video content. We will be calling this the „Videos page“

Based on your choice you will most likely be using the administration in a different way as well. An explanation on how to use the administration will be found below.

First lets have a look at how to actually fill the section with videos

Select Categories in the Posts section.

Select the category you want to add the image to.

Add an image through the „Add or Upload File“ button in the bottom part of the section.

Also note that it is important to use the correct URL format for youtube videos:

When creating a new video post, click Add new in the Posts section. In the right sidebar of the window, you have to fill out the following:

1. Format – Video
2. Featured Image – select a thumbnail image with a video URL address embedded in it. You can find the instructions on how to embed a video URL into an image here: http://wiki.ys-dev.cz/skoda-ep:common:article_-_featured_video?s[]=featured
3. Reading/Watching time – fill out the length of the video

You have already seen how to sort videos attached to a single article/page using the arrows in the WLC TV embed box.

But what if we have videos accross different articles? We cannot use the arrows anymore, so the videos will be sorted based on the publish date of an article. The newer article will list its videos first.

On an example:

Article „Eat more vegetables“ has 3 videos and was published on the 1st of January 2018

• Video 1: Eat Carrots!
• Video 2: Eat Garlic!
• Video 3: Be Green!

Article „Eat more meat“ has 2 videos and was published on the 2nd of February 2018

• Video 4: Eat beef!
• Video 5: Be beef!

Videos will be sorted as follows:

• Video 4
• Video 5
• Video 1
• Video 2
• Video 3

Now we will take a look at two different ways on how to use the TV section

When using the section to lead people to articles, you need to add the embeds to the relevant articles first. The point is this: When you add a video to an article, it will be listed in the TV section and a button will be shown next to the video with a link back to the article.

This is more difficult to manage as the videos are scattered accross different posts.

On an example:

1. Article „Lock challenge“ will have a video about „Lock challenge in Barcelona“
2. Article „Eat to ride“ will have a video about „Eat to Ride: How to make Oatmeal with Berries“

These videos are very relevant to the articles, so when users browse the TV section and like the video, they can go to the relevant article using a „Read article“ button

You can use a single page and add all video embeds to this page. This will be easier to manage because all videos are saved with a single post, but it will prevent you from linking the videos back to articles.

You should use this only if you want to present the videos alone.

If you decide to use the tv section this way, we strongly recommend adding videos to the TV section page itself (instead of creating another page to hold the videos) as shown on the following screencast:
