Social feed: Instagram

These are the instructions to setup a social feed from instagram

1. Make a list of instagram addresses from which you want to download the latest posts (i.e.: https://www.instagram.com/skodamotorsport/, https://www.instagram.com/wlcmagazine/)
2. Go to the WordPress administration, choose Social networks from the main admin panel (social_networks_menu.png)
3. Click the Instagram tab at the top

Add instagram URLs for accounts from which you want to download the latest posts

Click „Add another feed“ if you have multiple addresses

Ignore „Client token“ for now.

The second field „Number of entries to fetch“ limits the latest posts. If you have 3 accounts and you have selected „2“ for this option, it means we will download posts from all of the accounts and then choose the 2 newest posts alltogether.

URL to your main social profile. This will be shown in the footer area as an instagram icon

After you have setup all above continue by clicking „Save“. When the page saves and reloads you will need to authorize with Instagram.

Scroll down and you will see a title „Authorize the accounts by clicking on the links and logging in“ - you will find this section just below the save button.

Note: If you are already logged into an Instagram account while you are doing the authorization, you will authorize using this account.

Click the link which says „Authorization link (setup Client token)“.

You will be redirected to instagram, where you need to login to complete authorization.

After logging in, you will be redirected to an external site, then you will be redirected back to wordpress administration and you should see the field „Client token“ filled in now. If that's the case, click Save to confirm the client token.
