This article explains how featured media are displayed in media room

Main prerequisite for an image is to have a term „featured“ from „Featured“ taxonomy

These taxonomies define when the image is displayed in the „Featured“ box in search results.

The selected taxonomies of the image must exactly match the user search result. This means that if you want to have an image shown while the user selects Model: Fabia, Bodywork: Hatchback - the image must have exactly these terms and MUST NOT have any derivative term.
